HONOR ROLL

REVOLUTIONARY WAR
Hezekiah Parmele 1710/11-1796
Joel, John, John

Hezekiah has been honored by the Daughters of the American Revolution for "patriotic service." I have been unable to find out what it was that he did.

He was one of the men of Durham, Conn., who took the Oath of Fidelity in 1777.

His tombstone in Durham's Old Cemetery reads:

In Memory of
Mr. Hezekiah Parmele
who died
on the 29th day of January
A.D. 1796
Aged 85 Year
s

Mark the perfect man
and behold the upright
for the end of that man is
peace
