THE ROY OTTO PARMERLEE FAMILY 1889-1958

Roy, left, was born at Nashville, Ind., and farmed near Bloomington and Huntington. He was a member of the Guernsey Breeders Assn. The 1940 census of Anna, Union County, Ill., shows him working as an attendant at the State Hospital.

With him and the dairy cows in Indiana is his father, James (1866-1932), who served in the Spanish-American War. In their later years, James and Mary "Lizzie" (Hague) Parmerlee (1868-1949) lived at 1004 Oliver Ave., Indianapolis.

oy had three wives: Effie L. Walker (1886-1912), left, whom he wed in 1906; Cora L. Schramm (1892-1925), whom he married in 1914; and Lura Folk (1903-1975), above.
